What's So Special About Base Culture Pumpkin Bread?

October is HERE! Time for football, picking out a perfect pumpkin at the patch, and wearing your old favorite sweaters.

I don’t know about you, but here at Base Culture, we get into the autumn mood by giving into our pumpkin cravings. That classic pumpkin flavor takes us back to autumns past: you can just taste the crisp fall air and vibrant red leaves, and feel the childhood anticipation of Halloween. We knew we had to make a bread that has that homey, pumpkin spice flavor - because no matter when in the year you have a taste, it takes you right back to our favorite, cozy season.

So, we scooped real pumpkin goodness into our perfect-for-October Base Culture bread: Nutty Pumpkin Bread. Step aside, Pumpkin Pie, because we’ve made a year-round fall favorite (yes - it’s available all year round!). We sprinkle pumpkin spices with cashews and pecans for that perfect crunchy and nutty first bite, and to make sure you’re getting your daily dose of protein. Craving the sweetness of a Pumpkin Latte? The all-organic maple syrup, natural honey, and real pumpkin in our Nutty Pumpkin Bread makes it the perfect sweet fall treat, satisfying your sweet-tooth craving.

And that’s it — that’s all of our ingredients. It’s simple and it’s pure. Your typical pumpkin bread has white flour and lots (and lots) of sugar. That’s what makes ours so special.

What we love most about our Nutty Pumpkin Bread is its versatility. It’s the perfect breakfast bread, enjoyed with a hot cup of joe (with pumpkin coconut creamer, of course) on your way out the door in the morning. Or, it’s the perfect base for a pumpkin dessert, topped with pumpkin paleo vegan ice cream.

Want to make your own ice cream to top it?  Mix real pumpkin with coconut milk, grass-fed gelatin, maple syrup, and of course, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon for that perfect fall taste. Whip together the pumpkin, milk, gelatin, and maple syrup, then freeze overnight. There are many online pumpkin ice cream recipes to suit your fancy; or, stick with a classic vanilla paleo on top. Make sure to heat the bread with just a zap in the microwave or oven to make that ice cream melt just so. Pumpkin bread sundae!

At Base Culture, believe that you shouldn’t have to surrender your favorite holiday treats because of your paleo eating choices. There shouldn’t be a line between “good for you” and “bad for you.” We can’t wait for you to try our Nutty Pumpkin Bread to enjoy the best of fall-flavors in its most pure and all-natural splendor.
