Ingredients
6 slices of Base Culture Cinnamon Raisin Bread
3 large pasture raised eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp vanilla bean ghee or coconut oil
1 cup blueberries
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
2 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
1. In a shallow bowl whisk eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon
2. Slice your bread into French toast sticks
3. Dip your bread slices into the egg mixture
4. Warm a large pan with ghee or coconut oil on medium low heat
5. Add your French toast sticks and cook a couple minutes each side
BLUBERRY COMPOTE DIRECTIONS
1. Add blueberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, and water to a small pan on medium low heat
2. Cook through for about 3-4 minutes, smashing the blueberries down with spoon
3. Once you get desired consistency turn off heat, mix in vanilla extract, and some extra lemon zest
